I’ve Been Nominated: Why This Recognition Hits Differently

I’m incredibly honoured to be nominated for the 2026 Northern PoWEr Women Awards, in the Disruptor for Good category, a moment that’s given me pause to reflect on the journey, the mission, and the quiet decisions that brought me here.

This moment matters because it gives me space to reflect. On the work. The why. And the quiet, consistent choices that have shaped the path I’m walking.

For those who know me, you’ll know that disruption has never been about noise or attention. It’s about intention. About questioning systems that no longer serve. About choosing depth over performance. And about using your voice to create space, especially for those who are often overlooked, underestimated, or unheard.

When I launched STYLISA FoundHers, it wasn’t part of a master PR plan. It was a response. A response to the erasure, the invisibility, the lack of platforms dedicated to the brilliance of underrepresented women building businesses against the odds. Founders who weren’t just shaping brands, but shifting culture, communities, and conversations. Being nominated in this category is a quiet affirmation that work like this matters.

Not just the big, visible moments. But the behind-the-scenes work. The integrity-led choices. The decision to build slowly, intentionally, and without compromise.

Why I Do What I Do

Everything I create, whether it’s a blog series, a strategy session, or a personal branding framework, is rooted in the same belief:

That your voice is a vehicle. And when you use it with purpose, it can drive meaningful change.

My work sits at the intersection of personal branding, social impact, and storytelling. I help purpose-driven founders, especially women and underrepresented entrepreneurs, build powerful, compelling brands that don’t just attract funding or partnerships… but resonate. Brands that feel like truth. That honour the journey. That start conversations and move people.

And this nomination? It’s not the destination. It’s just a pause point. A moment to look up, breathe, and acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, the path I’ve been carving is being seen.

On Being Recognised

There’s something powerful about being seen, not just for what you do, but for how you do it. Recognition like this isn’t just about titles or categories. It’s about being acknowledged for the intention behind the work. The values that underpin every decision. The quiet consistency that often goes unnoticed.

In a world that rewards volume, I’ve chosen to lead with clarity. To build intentionally, to centre purpose, and to prioritise impact over performance. That’s not always the most visible path, but it’s the one I believe in.

This nomination is a reminder that there’s space for work like this. That purpose-led disruption is not only necessary, but valued. And that doing things differently, on your own terms, can still resonate, still reach, still be recognised.

What Comes Next?

Regardless of what happens next, I’ll continue doing the work. Platforming women through STYLISA FoundHers. Supporting founders in showing up with power and clarity. Building quietly, but never small. I’m grateful for the recognition. But more than that, I’m grateful for the reminder: That purpose will always outlast hype. That disruption done well is service. And that visibility, when held with care, can be a catalyst, not just a spotlight.

Let's Work Together

Whether you’re a founder ready to raise your visibility, an organisation looking to amplify purpose from within, or a partner seeking to invest in meaningful work, this is where story meets strategy.
