Lisa has been featured in Forbes and Glamour magazine and is a regular contributor in the media where she has taken part in discussions and interviews on a wide range of topics. More recently, Lisa was chosen as one of BBC 1Xtra’s Future Figures 2022 in recognition of her work around equality, diversity and inclusion, as well as being nominated for other awards this year.

An engaging and passionate public speaker, Lisa wants to use what she has learnt over the years to not just help her thrive, but to help others thrive too.

As part of Black History Month (October 2022), Lisa was chosen by BBC 1Xtra as one of their ‘Future Figures’ who they felt are making Black History now.

Developing Diversity for Success

When embarking on their journey to greater diversity, Wellspring Academy Trust, joined forces with the Black United Representation Network (BURN), signing up their first Board Apprentice (a programme that gives black professionals with senior management experience, the opportunity to shadow a board for 12 months). Lisa was asked to contribute to this article for Governing Matters - the National Governance Association’s official membership magazine).

In her role as Director of Marketing & Inclusion at the award-winning training provider, Acacia Training, Lisa recent wrote a piece talking about inclusion, equality and diversity within education and employment.

Northern Power Ones to Watch

Lisa was a finalist in the Northern Power Women Awards ‘Ones to Watch’ category as a result of her work with the Black United Representation Network (BURN).

Northern Power Futures List

Alongside being a finalist in the ‘Ones to Watch’ category of the Northern Power Women Awards, Lisa made it onto the Northern Power Women Future List which recognises the influencers and change makers of the future who are already making a difference in their environments and communities.
